Our client asked us to carry out a DROPS remedial survey on-board a pipe-lay vessel while it was berthed in Kristiansand, Norway, in 2020.
TEXO Asset Integrity mobilised a multi-disciplined, multi-skilled rope access team to conduct a DROPS survey, and then complete maintenance and undertake repairs found during the survey. This provided the end-client with an all-in-one inspection and repair service.
Steve Moir, Operations Director for TEXO Asset Integrity said:
“Dropped objects have the potential to seriously harm people and damage critical plant and equipment, so eliminating the risk to as low as reasonably practicable, remains the priority for our Client. It’s been great that our team have delivered another safe and successful scope in time, and within budget. The excellent relationship between our team and the vessel crew allowed us to execute another safe, efficient and cost-effective project for our client. This successful project demonstrates that we can provide our client with a comprehensive inspection and repair service that meets their expectations and needs.”
Post project feedback from the client has been outstanding, with excellent scores achieved from the customer feedback forms.
We would like to thank TEXO for all their hard work whilst onboard the vessel. The team has provided an excellent service to a high standard throughout. They have been a pleasure to have on board and their work looks like it will be a great benefit to the vessel going-forward.”
