High risk confined space project for Yorkshire Water

We work with Yorkshire Water on an ongoing basis, helping the company to manage its assets – particularly those where access is difficult or potentially dangerous. For this project, the company asked us to carry out flood prevention and discharge prevention work at Burstwick Station.

The solution

Fully qualified and experienced members of our team used advanced rope access techniques within the confined space, and our engineering experts designed a solution for the client’s problem. Working in hazardous conditions, with the potential for toxic gas release, and water ingress, we developed a bung system with an intimidated flow. This prevented water from backing up into local rivers and overwhelming the system.

The result

Our access and engineering expertise resulted in a successful project with minimal impact on the client’s operations, and preventing costly discharges and potential damage to surrounding rivers and wildlife.

“TEXO’s proactive approach to our projects always shines through, and results in the best possible outcome. This team of people has turned into our go-to for high-risk, complex projects.” Yorkshire Water.
